Brow lamination is a safe treatment which can give you natural fuller looking eyebrows after just one treatment. Laminating the brows upward can create a nice lift to the eye.
Adding tint to your service helps darken, cover empty gaps and define the brow shape.
● Do not touch the healing pigmented area with your fingers or unclean applicators. They may have bacteria on them and create an infection. Always use a clean cotton swab when cleaning or applying ointment.
● Apply a very, very thin coat petroleum jelly ointment once daily for 7-10 days. If slight crust appears on the pigmented surface, do not force removal by picking or scratching! (You will remove pigment along with the crusting if you pick at it)
● The procedure may have some peeling on or around the third day. This is a normal part of healing on most clients. The lip procedure generally will have the most peeling. DO NOT PICK! Picking can result in scarring and loss of color.
● Do not apply makeup over healing areas. No tinting of lashes or brows. Avoid sun, saunas, and swimming (including chlorinated pools or Jacuzzis, the ocean, or recreational bodies of water), contact with animals or gardening for 7 to 10 days after the procedure(s).
● Do not rub or traumatize the procedure area while it is healing (pigment might be removed along with the crusting tissue).
● Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen after area has healed to slow fading.
● Avoid AHAs, Retin A, gycolic acid, or lactic acid on or near pigmented areas (they will fade the color).
● Avoid products containing Aloe Vera or vitamin E during the healing process.
● Do not donate blood for one year after the procedure, per the Red Cross.
● Follow up appointments are done between 4 to 6 weeks after the initial procedure and advised to be scheduled once brows finishing peeling. New procedures are a two-step process and final results are sometimes not determined until the follow up visit is completed. Do not judge your procedure while it is in the healing process as it may require a follow up.
● If you experience excessive itching, swelling, blistering, or other complications post procedure, stop using the aftercare product and call your technician immediately. You may be allergic to the aftercare product
● If you have excessive redness, swelling or tenderness or any red streaks going from the procedure area to the heart, elevated temperature, or excessive drainage, contact your physician and your technician as the area may be infected.
● FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN PIGMENT LOSS.
● There will be a little tenderness and redness for up to 24 hrs. You may also experience a white halo surrounding the brows that is caused by the numbing for up to 3 hrs.
● When exfoliation begins, remember not to pick on your scabs, as this will cause you to lose color. Avoid all topical makeup on the procedure area. This includes liquids, gels, powders and pencils.
● Use a clean Q-tip to apply your petroleum jelly ointment if it is suggested by artist after your procedure.
● If you see dark pieces of pigment, do not be alarmed. This is the exfoliation process and is part of the healing.
● Follow your aftercare instructions for the best results.
